Pelalawan District has several natural attractiveness and indigenous knowledge potentially to be developed as ecotourism. The community-based ecotourism management (CBEM) by utilizing indigenous knowledge as a part of tourist attractions is one of the ways to improve environmental ethics and achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs).

Sustainability Strategy for Industrial Plantation Forest Management in Riau Province, Indonesia

The results showed that the sustainable management of industrial plantation forests is an effort to accelerate national development from the ecological, economic, social, and institutional aspects. Strategies for empowering rural communities, strengthening village institutions, strengthening inter-institutional cooperation, and optimizing economic benefits are strategic steps in realizing sustainable management of industrial forest plantations. The proposed strategy for sustainable industrial plantation forest management is in line with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in Riau Province, Indonesia.

Sustainability of the Palm Oil Industry: An Empirical Study of the Development of Sustainable Oil Palm in Bengkalis Regency, Indonesia

The research was conducted in Bengkalis Regency with respondents being managers of CPO processing industry companies with instruments in the form of questionnaires and structured through in-depth interviews. The data used is primary data. The results showed that the CPO processing industry was classified as sustainable with an index of 59.76. Dimensions included in the less sustainable category are environmental and technological dimensions. This shows that the CPO processing industry has not paid attention to environmental conditions and has not maximized technology to achieve its goals. With an optimistic scenario, the results show an increase in status to be very sustainable with an index of 78.78.

Opportunity for Sustainable Palm Oil Practices by Smallholder Farmers in Riau

Riau Province has smallholder oil palm plantations located in forest areas. Land conflicts in the area consist of vertical conflicts and horizontal conflicts. Land conflicts hinder the sustainability of oil palm plantations. This study identifies the sustainability status of smallholder oil palm plantations using the index values of the ecological dimension, the economic dimension, the social dimension, and the legal dimensions of governance and governance.

Analysis of Factors Affecting Teacher Performance in State Junior High School Learning in Bengkalis Regency

This study aims to analyze the factors that influence the performance of teachers in learning SMP Negeri in the Bengkalis Regency. If the work climate has good quality, is comfortable, and pleasant, it will lead to satisfaction for a teacher, and this will trigger the teacher’s enthusiasm in teaching which will have an impact on improving teacher performance.

Food Carrying Capacity as an Indicator of Sustainability of Smallholder Oil Palm Plantations in Riau Province

The results indicate that smallholder oil palm plantations are able to produce food of 199,979 kg/ha/year originating from the potential food carrying capacity of 198,865 kg/ha/year and the actual 1,114 kg/ha/year. The food requirement of 73,916 kg/ha/year comes from the potential food need of 73,298 kg/ha/year and the actual food need of 618 kg/ha/year. Oil palm plantations have a surplus food carrying capacity of 126,063 kg/ha/yr originating from potential food of 125,567 kg/ha/yr and actual food of 496 kg/ha/yr
